In the afternoon we will head East for a tour of Windsor Castle, one of the official residencies of Her Majesty The Queen; the largest inhabited castle in the world, and the oldest royal residence to have remained in continuous use by the monarchs of Britain. Windsor's rich history spans more than 900 years; the magnificent state rooms are furnished with some of the finest works of art from the royal collection, including paintings by Rembrandt, and drawings by Leonardo da Vinci. Within the precincts is St Georges Chapel, one of the most beautiful ecclesiastical buildings in England. Ten monarchs are buried here, including Henry VIII with his favourite wife, Jane Seymour.

This evening, and depending on whether you would like to finish your tour in either London or Manchester, we will make suitable arrangements for your evening's Country Hotel accommodation, and if required, your morning transport to the airport or train station. Several of our guests have flown home direct at the end of their tour, and others have stayed in London for a few days before undertaking the long journey home. Either way, we would like to ensure you enjoy every aspect of your stay in England, and will be happy to assist as best we can in doing so.
